Washington, D.C. - In response to one of George W. Bush's first actions as U.S. President, a leading small business advocacy organization commended the new Administration for it's initiative to inventory and review what's on deck in the regulatory agencies of the federal government.
"President Bush's directive to federal agencies, which places a hold on the publication of proposed regulations, is a logical first step to bring sanity, common sense and accountability back to the regulatory process. A comprehensive review of what may be moving through the regulatory pipeline is especially important given the splurge of rambling and hastily executed activity of the Clinton Administration's final days. We are very pleased that President Bush took such decisive and needed action," said Small Business Survival Committee (SBSC) Chairman Karen Kerrigan.
