Washington, D.C.-With the Academy Awards to be handed out in Hollywood this Sunday evening, the Small Business Survival Committee (SBSC) offered its "Top Ten Pro-Business Movies" today.

SBSC chief economist Raymond J. Keating observed: "There have not been many movies over the years offering positive takes on business owners, or business in general.  In fact, it seems that business executives and owners tend to be portrayed as cheating, greedy, and immoral on the sliver screen."

"However, there have been exceptions to this over the years," Keating noted.  "Our top ten list includes movies that offer stirring messages about and tributes to entrepreneurs and business; acts of courage and compassion by business owners; simple, positive portrayals of everyday business owners; not to mention an industrialist as a superhero."

Following is SBSC's "Top Ten Pro-Business Movies":

4. Casablanca (1943)
5. Sabrina (1954)
6. White Christmas (1954)
